asked the Minister for Social Welfare whether he is yet in a position to make a definite statement on the exact date of the opening of the labour exchange in Old Bawn Road, Tallaght, Dublin; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The premises at Old Bawn Road, Tallaght, which will be used as a temporary employment exchange pending the provision of a full employment exchange service in the proposed new Tallaght Town Centre, is in the course of being fitted out and is expected to be ready for occupation in July 1984. Consideration is being given to how best the new premises can be utilised having regard to the present staffing situation and the large increase in unemployed persons in the Tallaght area.
