Funding to complete national road plan

Summary

Mr. Burke asked whether sufficient funds would be provided to complete the national primary road development programme on the timetable in the national road plan. The Ceann Comhairle ruled this a separate question; no ministerial answer is given.

Ray Burke Mr. R. Burke Fianna Fáil

Could the Minister say what progress has been made with regard to the implementation of what is known as the "blue book" and if he is prepared to guarantee that sufficient funds will be made available to allow the programme of national primary development to be completed in the time scale of the national road plan?

It may be on the same topic but it is another question.

It is a question with regard to the allocation of funds on national primary roads. I am asking if he will have enough funds allocated to allow the completion of the plan?

That is clearly a separate question.

The questions ask the Minister for the Environment the criteria used in the allocation of funds for the realignment of national primary roads and the basis on which road grants have been allocated. I am asking if there will be enough money to allow the plan to be completed.
