asked the Minister for Health the amount of money known to have been lost to his Department through acts of fraud emanating from (a) within and (b) outside his Department in the years 1980, 1981, 1982 and 1983; and the general areas in his Department in which such acts of fraud occurred.

The records of my Department do not disclose any evidence of losses to the Exchequer in the years 1980 to 1983 inclusive, arising from situations as referred to by the Deputy.
