asked the Minister for the Environment if he will consider amending the recent bridging order regarding the construction of a new fixed bridge over the Belmullet canal so as to provide a drawbridge or swing-bridge to facilitate local fishermen and anglers.

I am advised that it is not possible to amend the bridge order in the manner suggested.
