Fergus O'Brien Mr. F. O'Brien Fine Gael

I propose to take Questions Nos. 21 and 22 together.

The amounts paid in respect of official mileage to the Ministers of State who served at my Department in the period 1 November 1983 to 1 November 1984 — Deputy Ruairí Quinn and Deputy Fergus O'Brien — were £1,001 an £6,362 respectively. The total amounts, including salaries and travel-subsistence allowances, paid to four civilian drivers in the same period were £442, £453, £9,961 and £10,031.
