asked the Minister for the Public Service further to the absence from estimated figure circulated for 1985 of any provision for special increases, if he will indicate how he proposes to pay for any such increases if sanctioned by the arbitrator.

This situation envisaged by the Deputy is hypothetical and any reply could only be conjectural and might not be helpful at this stage.
