Electronic export destinations and restrictions

Summary

De Rossa asked where electronic goods were exported and whether destination restrictions applied; Barrett lacked the destination figures, and the Chair said export controls belonged to another Minister.

Will the Minister indicate the countries to which these goods are exported?

Comment on this

(Dún Laoghaire): I do not have that information but if the Deputy tables a question I will get it for him.

Comment on this

Are there any restrictions on the countries to which this country may export electronic equipment?

Thomas J. Fitzpatrick An Ceann Comhairle Fine Gael

That is a matter for another Minister. The Minister of State does not have control over that area.

Comment on this

I take it that the answer is "yes".
