asked the Minister for Education if she is aware of the urgent need for a post primary school in the Knocklyon area of County Dublin; and if she will be taking action to ensure that the proposed community school is open before 1988.

I am aware of the post primary school needs in the Knocklyon area. I have approved the building of a new community school at Scholarstown Road near Knocklyon. The architectural planning is well advanced and the new school is at present scheduled to open in 1988.
