Minister’s Connaught Airport Shareholding
The Minister said he held two shares in Connaught Airport Development Company and would withdraw from its affairs; Mr. Haughey offered to buy the shares.
asked the Minister for Communications the number of companies other than those coming under the ambit of the Joint Committee on Commercial State-Sponsored Bodies in which he has a minority shareholding.

The only company not coming under the ambit of the Joint Committee on Commercial State-Sponsored Bodies in which I have a minority shareholding is the Connaught Airport Development Company Limited. Through my nominess on the board I hold two shares in this company. As already announced, the Government have agreed that I will withdraw from further participation in the affairs of the company, and suitable arrangements are under consideration at the moment to give effect to this decision.
