I propose to take Questions Nos. 4 and 5 together. In recent months I made additional contributions to the Brothers of Charity towards the capital cost of providing services including community services in the west of Ireland. I have also increased their 1985 allocation to assist them in meeting the cost of their services including their commitments in the west.

Very recently I met with the Brothers of Charity and we had a detailed discussion about their requirements in the western area. The order expressed themselves as satisfied with the proposals which I made to them in relation to funding the services outlined by the Deputy on a phased basis as resources permit.
