asked the Minister for Health the plans he has for the development of the community psychiatric service based on St. Brendan's Hospital; the new projects which will commence in the current year; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Arising from the publication of the report "Psychiatric Services — Planning For The Future", each health board are now drawing up plans for the implementation of the report. I have been informed by the Eastern Health Board that their plan will be submitted next month. This plan will include specific proposals concerning the St. Brendan's Hospital service.
