Board accommodation and employment prospects
The Minister is awaiting the Board’s estimate of its Athlone accommodation needs and says the move entails no extra staffing. Asked about the chairman’s claim of good employment prospects, she referred the Deputy to him; the exchange ended with criticism and a brief interjection.
asked the Minister for Education if she will give details regarding extra office accommodation, and extra staffing, if any, consequent upon the decision to site the Curriculum and Examinations Board Centre at her Department in Athlone.

I have asked the board to furnish an estimate of their accommodation requirements in Athlone and I am awaiting their response.
There are no additional staffing implications arising from the decision to locate the board in Athlone.

Is the Minister aware that the chairman of the Curriculum and Examinations Board, a very eminent gentleman, at a press conference in Athlone, stated that the siting of that board in Athlone would mean good employment prospects for the town? Will the Minister explain that statement?

The chairman was appointed by the Minister. There is not any need for further questions. More "codswallop".
