Implementing Ombudsman Report Recommendations

Summary

Brady asked what action had been taken on the Ombudsman’s 1984 legislative recommendations; Nealon said none concerned legislation under his Minister’s responsibility.

asked the Minister for Communications the action which has been taken by him to implement the many important recommendations for legislative change in the Ombudsman report, 1984.

Comment on this

I assume the Deputy is referring to chapter 5 of the Ombudsman's annual report for 1984 which deals with suggested review of legislation in particular areas. None of the suggestions affect legislation for which the Minister is responsible.
