Written Answers. - Longford-Westmeath Lands.
asked the Minister for Agriculture the total amount of land in the hands of the Irish Land Commission in (i) Longford and (ii) Westmeath and in respect of each estate: (a) the date of acquisition; (b) the acreage held; (c) its name and address; and (d) when it is expected that the estate will be divided.
Comment on this
Details of the lands referred to are set out in a tabular statement which I propose to circulate in the Official Report. Every effort is being made to have these estates disposed of as soon as possible but it is not possible to indicate when this can be done. The programme is likely to be affected by the recent transfer of a number of staff to the office of the commissioner for farm tax.
