asked the Minister for Agriculture the level of farm income in 1985; and if these figures have been confirmed by the Farm Management Agricultural Institute Survey undertaken in 1985.

Family farm income in 1985 has been estimated by my Department at £1,174 million. The results of the farm management survey for 1985, undertaken by An Foras Talúntais, are not expected until late this year.
