The organisations funded by the Department directly are described broadly and, in certain cases, specifically, in the Estimates volume. The out-turn of each subhead associated with payments to such organisations will be shown in the appropriation accounts for that year.
Information as to grants paid by health boards to voluntary organisations in 1985 is not yet available in my Department. The list of such organisations is extensive and it is suggested that the Deputy might approach the health boards for the information sought.
The grants paid by the Health Education Bureau to voluntary organisations in 1985 are as follows:—
* In these cases a grant was made towards the cost of producing materials. The bureau was not involved in arranging design, print, etc.
