Labour Relations Commission structure
The proposed Commission would be an independent agency overseen by a board with a chair, industry representatives and ministerial nominees; consultations with ICTU and FUE were ongoing.
asked the Minister for Labour the proposed organisational structure of the new Labour Relations Commission.
Comment on this
As the Deputy will recall, the proposals for the reform of industrial relations which were published last March envisaged the establishment of the new Labour Relations Commission as an independent agency under the authority of a board comprising a chairman together with members nominated by both sides of industry and other ministerial nominees.
Consultations with ICTU and FUE on these and other industrial relations reform proposals are continuing.
