asked the Minister for the Environment when he will sanction the application by Louth County Council for a loan of £50,000 urgently required for repairs to the Pier at Clogherhead, County Louth, which is in a very dangerous condition.

This application was only received in my Department on 11 April, 1986. I will consider it as sympathetically as possible having regard to the other demands on the allocation for miscellaneous environmental services under the public capital programme.
