asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the steps he has taken to provide an alternative industry for the Apple Computers factory which closed some time ago in Millstreet, County Cork.

(Limerick East): I am informed by the Industrial Development Authority that they are actively promoting the Apple Computers factory in Millstreet, County Cork, for a suitable industrial project with the active assistance of Apple Computers who own the factory.

Already a number of industrialists have been taken to view the factory and it is intended to maintain this promotion effort.

Question No. 10 postponed.
