asked the Minister for Tourism, Fisheries and Forestry where the finance, other than that contributed by his Department or the EC, will be raised towards the cost of reconstructing and extending the pier at Clogherhead, County Louth.

As I pointed out in my reply to a question on 18 February 1986 my Department would be prepared to make a 50 per cent contribution towards the cost of repairing and stabilising the existing pier. All of this contribution would be met from departmental resources. The balance of any funding would have to be found by the county council.
