The Minister said no further submission had been received from Hospitals’ Trust about participating in the National Lottery, whose franchise was awarded to An Post.
asked the Minister for Finance if he has received any further submission from the Hospitals Trust with regard to their participation in the lottery; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The Government announced on 17 October 1985 their decision to proceed with the establishment of a National Lottery and to award the franchise to operate the lottery for an initial period of years to An Post. Since that date no submission has been received by me from Hospitals' Trust (1940) Limited relating to that company's participation in the National Lottery.
