asked the Minister for the Environment if he is aware of the dumping of certain materials on lands in the Tallaght area of County Dublin and that resulting from this a river in the area is in danger of being polluted and the livestock of the adjoining farmer (details supplied) may be in danger; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

It is a matter for Dublin County Council to take whatever steps it considers appropriate to prevent water pollution. In this case, I am advised that the council inspected the site and found no evidence of water pollution.
