asked the Minister for Defence if he considers that the Air Corps and the Naval Service have developed sufficiently to be referred to in future as the Irish Air Force and the Irish Navy; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The Air Corps and the Naval Service are constituent elements of the Permanent Defence Force. It is not proposed to alter their present designation.
