asked the Minister for Finance the number of dog licences issued in County Meath; and if figures are available on the number of dogs in the county.

It is not possible to establish the total number of current dog licences in County Meath, due to the fact that the coverage of the relevant post offices which issue dog licences in the Meath area extends beyond Meath county boundaries.

There is also no information available as to the number of dogs in the county.
