Approval of Cork gaelscoileanna

Summary

Deputy Lyons asked whether the Department’s policy explained why two proposed Cork gaelscoileanna had not been approved; the Minister said they would be addressed in a later question, and Deputy Wilson noted that free sites were available.

Ceist an-bheag i dtaobh an pholasaí atá luaite ag an Aire Stait: Is the Minister confirming that the policy now being introduced by his Department with regard to gaelscoileanna is the reason or cause for new gaelscoileanna not being given the sanction to go ahead? There are two in Cork, in Parklands and Mahon. Is that the reason for those schools not being approved?

Comment on this

Those two schools are referred to in a later question.

Comment on this

If there were not free sites available, there would not be any of them.
