asked the Minister for Defence the present position as regards the proposed new FCA headquarters for Skibbereen, County Cork; when it will be advertised for tenders; and the approximate date of commencement of building the unit.

The provision of a new FCA headquarters at Skibbereen is under consideration for commencement in 1987. A bill of quantities to enable the project to go to tender is in preparation and it is hoped that tenders will be invited next spring to enable construction work to commence during the summer.
