There are two such bodies, viz: (1) the Irish Red Cross Society; the members of its Central Council are not appointed by the Minister for Defence; and (2) the Army Pensions Board which has three members none of whom is a civil servant; two of them reside in Dublin and the third in Westmeath.

There is no such body apart from committees and working parties relating to matters of internal administration, all the members of which are officers of the Department.
