Army recruitment and next intake

Summary

The Minister said recruitment plans were under consideration and depended on the budget, with any decision to be announced in due course. He could not provide the date of the last recruitment, but noted the Army was never at full establishment.

Will the Minister indicate the last time the Army recruited members on an active basis, how many people are at present awaiting interviews or call-up to the Army and when is it anticipated there will be a new intake of soldiers to the ranks?
