Bovine Diseases Levies
The levy applies to animals slaughtered for domestic or export markets and to live exports; the Minister said it is being enforced domestically and the Department is satisfied with compliance.
asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food whether the levy of £6.50 per animal slaughtered — to come into operation on 20 April 1987 under the Bovine Diseases (Levies) Regulations, 1987 — equally applies to animals for export and for domestic consumption; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
