Handling complaints after council abolition

Summary

De Rossa questioned whether the Ombudsman’s Office could manage complaints redirected after the councils’ abolition. The Minister referred him to the Minister for Finance, and the Ceann Comhairle ruled the matter out of order.

In view of that decision and the apparent decision to refer complaints made to the council to the Ombudsman's Office and because of the fact that the numbers employed by the Ombudsman's office have been reduced——
