Multi-organ donor cards
The Minister has no current plans to introduce multi-organ donor cards but will review their use as part of broader work on organ transplantation.

While I have no plans at present to introduce multi-organ donor cards I am involved in a review of the area of organ transplantation. I recently attended a conference of the European Ministers of Health in Paris which agreed, among other things, to develop an information policy on the significance of organ transplantation. I will review the use of donor cards in that context.
The Minister of State at my Department has recently met representatives of the Irish Transplant Association for wide ranging discussions on the whole area of transplantation.
