Molloy’s omitted priority question

Summary

Molloy complained that neither of his priority questions appeared on the Order Paper after he had been asked to choose between them. The Ceann Comhairle said he had been informed, which Molloy disputed.

Could I inquire why the Priority Question which I submitted has not appeared on the Order Paper?

That is no fault of the Chair's.

A Cheann Comhairle, if a Deputy submits a question surely the House — and he represents us in the House — has a duty to print the question and put it on the Order Paper?

I understand the Deputy has been communicated with in respect of that matter.

My information is that the Deputy has been communicated with.

I have not received any communication and I find the arrangements very unsatisfactory. I had two Priority Questions in the office and somebody rang me up and asked me which one I wanted to be put on today's Order Paper. I had to make a choice between the two of them and now I find that neither of them has appeared. I find that rather extraordinary.
