asked the Minister for Justice when he proposes to have the vacancy at Killeagh Garda station, County Cork filled and thus allay local fears concerning the future of the station.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 76 and 77 together.

There is no proposal to close the Garda station at Killeagh. The detailed deployment of Garda manpower is a matter for the Garda authorities who have informed me that it is not proposed at present to replace the Garda who was recently transferred from the station.
