asked the Minister for Education when the sport centres for the north-west and north-east will be announced; and if her attention has been drawn to the request made by Dundalk, County Louth for such a centre.

I would refer the Deputy to the Government announcement of November 1987 which outlined the locations of the sports centres for the north-west and the north-east, including Dundalk which has been designated as one of these local sports centres.
