Cavan swimming pool funding
Fitzpatrick asked whether departmental funding would be available if the committee met the local contribution and other conditions; the Minister said no application had been received and any application would be assessed against technical criteria, available funds, and competing demand.
asked the Minister for the Environment, if the County Cavan swimming pool committee provide the local contribution of 20 per cent of the cost to finish the swimming pool and comply with the other conditions, if any, laid down by his Department, whether the balance will be immediately available from funds provided by his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

While I have received communications from Cavan Urban District Council and the County Cavan swimming pool committee regarding this project I have not received any application for funding. If and when such an application is received it will be considered as sympathetically as possible having regard to technical criteria, the availability of funds and the comparative level of demands for similar grants.
