asked the Minister for Education the arrangements which she has made to pay or employ the staff of Carysfort College, County Dublin when the last class of pupils departs.

A voluntary redundancy-early retirement scheme is being implemented in the colleges of education for primary teachers. Arrangements are being made by my Department for the employment-redeployment of the staff in Carysfort who do not opt for the above scheme. As all these arrangements have not yet been finalised it would not be appropriate to go further into the matter at this time.
