asked the Minister for Education the way she proposes to implement the revised schedule for national school teachers where a school cannot keep within the maximum permitted for a single class, consecutive classes or multi-grade classes.

School authorities will be responsible for arranging the organisation of their school so as to ensure that no class-group will exceed the limits specified in Circular 23/88. Where this is not feasible, my Department will, on appeal by the school authorities, examine the particular difficulties of the school.
