asked the Minister for Finance the reason that, in breach of long standing protocol, he failed to invite any member of an Opposition party to attend the official opening by a member of the Government of new offices provided by the Office of Public Works in Longford for the Department of Agriculture and Food.

I wish to advise the Deputy that I had no function in the arrangements for the official opening of the premises in question.
