asked the Minister for the Marine the number of women who have been appointed to State boards or other such bodies directly under his control since he took office; and the percentage of the total such appointments this represents, as well as the total number of men appointed.

Eleven nominations have been made to such bodies under the aegis of my Department since I took up office. Of these, three are women, two of whom will be taking up their appointments in July. This represents 27 per cent of appointments.
