asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in making funds available to Tipperary South Riding County Council for the construction of a treatment plant for the Linguan water scheme, Carrick-on-Suir, County Tipperary.

I understand that revised contract documents for this proposal are being prepared by the council and their submission to my Department is awaited. The question of making funds available for the scheme does not, therefore, arise at this stage.
