Ruling on Priority Questions
Noonan objected to the Chair’s decision to exclude three priority questions, saying he would raise the ruling on one question at the Committee on Procedure and Privileges. The Chair said the matter could not be raised at that stage and offered to facilitate a later discussion.
(Limerick East): Before moving to Question No. 5, a Cheann Comhairle, I should say I am unhappy with your decision to rule out three priority Questions in my name today to the Minister for Finance.

(Limerick East): I should like to take up your offer to discuss it with you subsequently. I want to inform you that the one you ruled out on the grounds that it conflicted with the budget debate we will be raising at the Committee on Procedure and Privileges.

Deputy Noonan, my office will be glad to facilitate you but it is not in order to raise the rulings of the Chair at this stage or indeed at any time.

(Limerick East): We will be raising at the Committee on Procedure and Privileges the ruling that one question was in conflict with the budget debate.
