Statistics available to my Department relate to notifications of proposed redundancies under the Redundancy Payments Acts. Separate figures are not available in respect of breweries alone. Such figures are included in the numbers of redundancy notifications in the brewing and malting industry, which are as follows: 1987, 301; 1988, 350; 1989, 22.
