asked the Minister for the Marine whether he has any proposals to amend the Harbours Act, 1946, in order to transfer responsibility for Balbriggan and Skerries Harbours, County Dublin from Dublin Port and Docks Board to Dublin County Council.

The question of responsibility for Balbriggan and Skerries Harbours will be examined in the context of a review of the Harbours Acts, 1946 to 1976 which I hope to put in train as soon as possible but it is probable that transfer of responsibility for the harbours to the relevant local authority will be proposed.
