Forestry land sales
Donnellan requested details of forestry land sales; Aylward reported 742 hectares sold by direct and tender methods, but withheld individual proceeds to avoid prejudicing future sales.
asked the Minister for Energy if he will give details of all lands, forests and plantations sold by his Department from 1 January, 1987 to 31 December, 1988; the manner of disposal; and the amount of money realised in each sale.
Comment on this
During the period 1 January 1987 to 31 December 1988 my Department sold a total of 742 hectares of forestry land: 263.7 hectares were sold by direct sale, 476.7 hectares by public tender and 1.6 hectares by confined tender. I have the details of the individual sales and I will pass these on to the Deputy. However, I am not at liberty to disclose the amount of money realised in each sale as this would prejudice future sales.
