asked the Minister for Education the present stage of plans for the building of a replacement national school at The Naul, County Dublin; and whether it is envisaged that work will commence during 1989.

I have approved the provision of a new national school at The Naul, County Dublin. It is my intention that building works will commence at the earliest possible date. Sketch plans have been completed for the project and these will be sent at an early date to the chairman of the board of management of the school to enable him to apply for planning permission.
