Visit of Czechoslovak Parliamentary Delegation.

Seán Treacy An Ceann Comhairle Independent

Before proceeding to deal with section 102, I feel the Members would wish to join with me in extending a most warm and cordial welcome to the Members of the Czechoslovak Parliamentary Delegation who are with us this evening in the Distinguished Visitors' Gallery. They are led by Mr. Miroslav Stepan, Member of the Praesidium and Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Federal Assembly of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic. On behalf of all the Members of this House I offer them in our own native tongue, céad míle fáilte, a hundred thousand welcomes, and express the ardent hope that their stay with us will be most successful and pleasant. Welcome.

Let me join, on behalf of Fine Gael as the main Opposition party, in welcoming them here. I suppose we should thank them for coming because clearly they have brought the good weather with them. I hope they enjoy their stay in Ireland, and I hope they enjoy our weather while they are here.
