asked the Minister for the Marine if any contract has been made with a company (details supplied) regarding the possibility of operating an air/sea rescue service on a private basis.

My Department received an unsolicited offer from the company (name supplied) for the supply of a helicopter search and rescue service. No commitment has been given to contract such a service from that company or any other company.
