asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if, in view of the forthcoming Irish Presidency of the EC, he has any plans to appoint additional Irish Ambassadors on a residential basis; if he has any plans to change the place of residence of any present Irish Ambassador with double accreditation before or for the duration of the Presidency; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The Government have no plans, at the present time, to appoint additional ambassadors on a residential basis or to change the residence of any ambassador to a capital to which that ambassador is at present concurrently accredited.
