Access to diocesan genealogy records

Summary

Nealon said a diocese was withholding records over concerns about discrepancies in family trees and asked the Taoiseach to approach the bishop; the Taoiseach was unaware of the issue.

Is the Taoiseach aware that the ecclesiastical authorities in one diocese are unwilling to make their records available because of possible discrepancies which might be shown up in some family trees? Would he have a word with the bishop?
