asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he has any proposals in relation to the substantial losses incurred by Bord na gCon in the half year to 30 June 1989; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Bord na gCon are currently finalising a five year corporate plan, the objective of which will be to seek to return the board to profitability as quickly as possible.
